About the Course
As we enter into the era of Fire and Air — with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius — we’re presented with the invitation to practice more perceptual flexibility and co-creativity with our animal ancestors and kin.
This shape-shifting adventure through the Zodiac weaves together biology, astrology and myth to foster a richly experiential education with the creatures of the constellations themselves. We attend to these animals with respect and curiosity to learn about them in their own right, while also discovering more about the places in us through which the Zodiac comes to life.
Through video lectures, experiential processes and creative reflection prompts, you’ll be guided into a participatory engagement with the symbols of astrology that centers your lived experience and instinctual wisdom.

The Zodiac offers us an innate kind of kaleidoscopic vision to Life, to which each animal contributes its own turn.
Every animal (i.e. astrological symbol, planet, mythic character, archetype, aspect of Self) perceives through its own sensorium. Through its own unique form, evolutionary adaptations and limits, strengths and vulnerabilities, hungers and desires.
Each creature lives inside of a perceptual world that is distinct from all the others, enlivened by its own genius — and limited by its own particular logic and language.
This kaleidoscopic capacity of perceiving through a multiplicity of worlds can aid us humans in finding our way through the most perplexing of situations.
We’re leaving a moment in consciousness where this capacity has become skewed or collapsed as one creature (part of Self, etc) is given supreme reign — dropping us into the illusion that it could possibly see and know everything. It can promise us the power and the possibility of safety through control — but also, it inevitably brings a number of other impossible dilemmas.
The perceptual limits of this creature’s world will eventually not allow you to see your way through to the next step of your journey, or the next page of your story.

A Foundation of Self-Care
These sessions are meant to be joy and play based sources of Self-discovery, renewal, growth and connection. They are not psychotherapy nor a substitute for psychotherapy. However, since we may be connecting to the felt-sense and the body, and the body is a beautiful storehouse of memory, emotion, impulse, instinct, sensation — we know that it sometimes can bring us unexpected places. Participants are required to come with a current self-care practice and familiarity with their nervous system. While our connection with each other and with the astrological field can be richly resourcing, participants are ultimately expected to be responsible for their own wellbeing and what they need to do to take care of themselves.
And a willingness to play!
I know that play doesn’t always come easily, especially during stressful moments. But also, oftentimes play is exactly what we need to perceive a situation through fresh eyes and to find our way through challenging situations.
Here, play is given a chance to expand beyond the confines of our old notions or definitions of “play”. We can even surprise ourselves, discovering that play is something we’re still “good at” even as serious adults.

Meet the Instructor
Nicole is an astrologer, artist and parent raising two young humans. Each of these journeys draw her ever more deeply into the question of how to tend a benevolent field of consciousness that’s able to receive a child and foster their incarnation —whether this ’child’ is an actual human child or a creative vision within that wants to be lived out. She approaches experiential astrology as a practice of giving permission, resource and relational container to our many creative instincts, so that these creatures might be felt in the depths of their own essential nature while also re-membered into wider life cycles, rhythms and wholes.
Nicole has been a consulting astrologer since 2017 and has formal training in Biology and Internal Family Systems. She is currently in the final months of the Hermes-Hestia Experiential Astrology Practitioner Program.
