Who this is for:
Astrologers and astrology-lovers who want to have an emergent experience of the archetype of Cancer and the place of Cancer in their own natal Sky — by tending a personal relationship with the stories and creatures that live here.
Also — people who might not have a background in astrology** but who do want to take a radically relational, receptive and interconnected (i.e. non-fixing, non-pathological and non-individualistic) approach to exploring the following themes:
Creativity & Motherhood
Individuality & Community
Rising Up & Dropping In.
** If you’ve never seen your birth chart and aren’t familiar with the basics of astrology (Sign, Planet, House, Aspects), email Nicole to schedule a reduced-price astrology session ($75 for 30 minutes). You will learn everything you need to know for you to be able to go on this astrological journey in a deeply meaningful way.
Praise for Living with the Animals of the Zodiac:

The Shell
Reflections on Home, Shell & Shelter. Here, we explore one of the most distinguishing features of the Crab, discovering its hidden healing properties and embeddedness in wider cycles essential to the health of our planet. We also gently reflect on what shapes our own Shells — past, present and future.

The Molt
By diving into the details and actually experiencing our own version of the Crab’s molting process, we open up space for an embodied familiarity and imaginal scaffolding that helps us recognize and give more permission to our own molting cycles.

La Cangreja
Through a personal storytelling about the Crab ‘La Cangreja’ and a molting season of Life, we meet a couple of other interesting creatures related to the mythic landscape of Cancer — and we return to the marriage of Zeus & Hera as essential context for the Crab.

Crabs in Relationship
We learn about a few different kinds of relationships that crabs form with other-than-crab species, as well as with their fellow crab kin. These stories can help feed our imagination, sense of curiosity, and capacity for being-with our Cancer place and planets — bringing presence and reflection to the kinds of relationships they might find themselves inside of, bearing witness to, growing or molting through.

Back to Karkinos
We wrap up our journey with the Crab (in this format, at least!) by returning to the myth and inviting Karkinos to speak, as we practice our more refined listening skills and attunement to the Crab wisdom.
