Living Astrologies Practitioners
Nicole Feola
Core Facilitator of the Tuesday group of Living the SignsNicole is a Living Astrologies Practitioner, an artist-maker and parent of two young humans. Each of these journeys draw her ever more deeply into the question of how to tend a benevolent field of consciousness that’s able to receive a child and foster their incarnation —whether this ’child’ is an actual human child or a creative idea, a dream within that wants to be lived out. Nicole approaches living astrologies as the multiplicity of practices that give permission, resource and a relational container to our many creative instincts, so that these creatures might be felt in the depths of their own essential nature while also re-membered into wider life cycles, rhythms and wholes.
Nicole’s work in living astrologies is also moved by a clarity of desire sparked by her time as a competitive athlete. As a shy and sensitive kid, the opportunity to claim her space and voice on the soccer field was like an infusion of lifeblood into her system. Nicole longs for and is devoted to tending a diversity of such ‘fields of play’ that can support the appearance, movement and even leadership of animals who otherwise may remain hidden in our internal ecosystem, so that we can steep in the unique qualities of Self that they bring, and learn how to expand our containers to better acknowledge and care for them.
Nicole facilitates the Hermes-Hestia Center’s Elements course series: ‘Living the Signs of the Zodiac’. She also builds experiential containers that weave together biology, astrology and myth to foster a relational education with the zodiac animals themselves. As an offshoot of her workshop on Neptune in Aries at the first Living Astrologies Conference in Santa Fe, Nicole offers 1:1 ‘color portal’ sessions that support a sensuous, synaesthetic and aesthetic engagement with the living sky of one’s horoscope.
In addition to the 18-month HHC Living Astrologies Experiential Practitioner Program and ten years of consulting astrology, her practice is fed by working as a math and art teacher at a Quaker high school; painting murals, beading and making stained glass; managing a commercial kitchen and tending goats; parenting; training in Internal Family Systems and Craniosacral Therapy and a decade of daily partnership with flower essences. These various experiences have developed in her a deeper listening and availability for how the astrological symbols are speaking.
