New Moon in Leo

I bring more self-compassion to every seasonal quality of my creative process.

I say "seasonal quality" rather than "season", to remind myself that creative cycles don't actually follow a "linear" progression, from season to season, i.e. Summer to Fall. Winter to Spring.

From our vantage here on Earth, the Night Sky reflects a shifting kaleidoscope of Seasons, of beginnings and endings, all inter-influencing each other.

We have Retrogrades. We have loooooong, overarching Seasons. We have small, rhythmic seasons. And, they all overlap in this indescribable symphony of Life that's there when we let go and let more in.

We can be soothed by the metaphor of terrestrial seasons, showing us that after Winter, then comes Spring (and so on). We can attune to all kinds of Cycles and feel real guidance, affirmation and belonging there.

But there will always be Not-Knowing and Risk in Living.

In celestial time, a “moment” reflects a particular relationship between conditions, forces, and evolutionary potentials.

It's about our relationship to this moment and ourselves.

The Universe is always asking us to take the leap.

To feel shame and let it go.

To feel rage and let it go.

To feel grief, despair, and helplessness, and let them go.

To feel joy and let it go.

To feel forgiveness and let that go, too.

May your creative process be liberated from Productivity's promises of security.

May your creative process quench your thirst for the kind of Meaning that doesn't deaden conversation with Soul with dogmatic belief, but metamorphosizes with you.

May this metamorphic Meaning hold you, through the wildness of a creative process.

May your creative process include a ritual for Loving All of You. For receiving the parts of you that were brave enough to just go on stage, despite the weight of being seen through so many lenses of expectations.

May these parts be spoken to tenderly, and wrapped in arms of unconditional appreciation.

May they be asked what they need to shake off the role and remember their essential nature.

May they feel safe enough to get up, go out and play again and again.
