Core Intentions

Over the course of ten 2-hr weekly gatherings plus additional resources, you will be assisted in:

• Expanding your window of tolerance for recognizing, responding to and playing with the wide range of Fire’s expressions that can arise within your own system and through your children. 

• Growing confidence in your ability to ally with these Fiery places and aspects of your nature as sources of essential wisdom on your parenting journey and life overall.

• Perceiving how your personal patterns link up to bigger stories and much vaster contexts, thereby supporting the metabolism of material that feels otherwise un-metabolizable from the limited, individualized vantage points that we tend to have access to from a paradigm of separation.

• Seeing opportunities where there previously seemed to be only limits or impossibilities. 

• More fully inhabiting your place, offering your creative voice and your unique ways of perceiving, being, and moving in the world.

We will explore the myths associated with the Fire Signs of the Zodiac through the lens of Greek and Roman imagination, while staying curious and in touch with the conditions of consciousness around this moment in Western civilization that gave rise to such dreamings.  From this witnessing, we’ll open up space for imagining beyond those conditions and limited story tellings. We’ll draw from and cross-pollinate between our own lived experiences, lineages, stories and imaginations so that we can honor our own unique role and contributions to this moment in time, share our creative processes and generate more life-affirming worlds for our children to be raised within.

Group Structure

During each meeting, we will reflect upon the Sign and its associated myths; explore the Skies under which we were born (i.e. our birth charts); share from the astrological symbols and themes as experienced and revealed in our own lives; and participate in activities and creative prompts that help make conscious connections between the stories in the Sky and our experiences here on Earth as caregivers and people who want to build a more loving world for future generations.

There will be ten gatherings as listed below:

Meeting #1:  Introductions, tending the shared field & felt safety of the group, reviewing participation agreements.

Meetings #2, 3 & 4:  ARIES

Meetings #5, 6 & 7:  LEO

Meetings #8, 9 & 10:  SAGITTARIUS

Discounted 1:1 Consults will be optional and available to participants to enrich individual contemplation, explore more deeply one’s own birth chart and transits, facilitate Self-connection and support with metabolizing what’s arising during this time together. 

Commitments

This container depends upon both your attendance in class and your attending of the material between classes.  Between each meeting, there will be 1-2 hours + optional additional resources on myth, astrology & conscious parenting including:

• Video recordings

• Readings

• Journaling, art & movement prompts

The purpose of this “homework” is to deepen our individual participation with the material as it relates to our own stories, processes, parenting/reparenting journeys, so that we can feed the field of our group' contemplation and dreaming together.

Participant Requirements

• You’re familiar with the basics of your birth chart:  Glyphs, Signs, Planets, Houses, Aspects.  **If you are not familiar with these things but do want to participate, let’s connect and see if there’s an accessible way for you to prepare for the group. Email or book a free call to connect.

• You have some kind of self-care, mindfulness, embodiment or somatic practice, that supports you with going inside and engaging in self-inquiry.

• You feel confident in your ability to reach out for support if deeper material does surface beyond what you feel comfortable or equipped to engage with further inside of this container only. Through participant agreements, shared intentions and check-ins, I will facilitate and we will together hold the safest and most loving space that we can. That said, it’s important to know this is not intended to be a form of psychotherapy, nor is it a substitute for therapy.

FAQs

Q: Do I need to have planets in Fire Signs in my birth chart for this to be relevant and meaningful to my life and my parenting?

A: No. Because (a) each Sign or Place (e.g Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) is stewarded by a planet that is somewhere in your birth chart and communicating with you about that area of life, pulling in its themes. (b) Planets move through these “empty” places in your birth chart in real-time as transits, which can feel quite impactful and engaging. (c) The people around you can have planets in these signs, also which act as a kind of “transiting” influence upon your system, engaging, animating or illuminating this Place for you in a particular way. And (d), I see each Sign as a sentient landscape, offering its own insights, experiences, memories, intelligence — especially when we tune in and listen. In other words, all the Signs are alive inside you!

His own group containers, experiential astrology approach and invitations to walk the land of the mythic has transformed and expanded my relationship to astrology.

I am also informed and supported by Internal Family Systems (Parts Work) as well as Craniosacral Therapy, which both have supported my body in other ways of listening and being with.
